NABSA provides NMR (300 and 600 MHz) and Mass spectral (low resolution EI, CI, ESI) services from the University of Botswana in Gaborone. African scientists who wish to benefit from NABSA's services need to make arrangements with the coordinator (Prof. B. M. Abegaz) or with one of the contact persons (Dr M. Bezabih for NMR and Dr M. M. Nindi for MS services) prior to sending samples for analysis. Raw NMR data are uploaded on an ftp server set up for the purpose. Scientists at the University of Dschang in Cameroon and at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania with remote NMR workstations can access the data directly through the Internet and process them themselves.. After assessing the data generated, they may request for additional experiments. Hard copy of processed data is sent by courier to NABSA beneficiaries without workstations.
